I'm not a fan of homeopathic medications, but you have to admit the power of the placebo can be quite persuasive ...which is why I think many of them get as popular as they do.
Oh, no, most certainly I admit that. It's just that real medicine is very good at the placebo effect, as well. It's best to mix placebo with actual medication.
Richard Dawkins did a documentary on homeopathy in Britain, and an interesting point that he made was that homeopathic doctors are much friendly and more involved with patients. That's probably the big reason why so many people feel so much better with homeopathy in comparison to some real medicine: they're simply receiving more of the human touch.
